All medications require a physician-signed form. Safety Note: Medication must be delivered by an adult in its original container.

Vaccination Requirements

North Carolina law requires immunizations for all students entering public schools.

Kindergarten Entry

  • 5 Doses DTaP
  • 4 Doses Polio
  • 2 Doses Measles/Mumps
  • 3 Doses Hepatitis B
  • 2 Doses Varicella

7th Grade Entry

  • 1 Dose Tdap Booster
  • 1 Dose Meningococcal (MCV)

Communicable Disease Standards

24-Hour Rule: Fever, Vomiting, and Diarrhea must be resolved for a full 24 hours (without meds) before return.
Head Lice: Student may return after receiving treatment and the removal of all nits.
Chickenpox: Student is excluded until all blisters have formed dry scabs.

Return to Learn Concussion Protocol

Stage 1: Rest

Total cognitive and physical rest. No school or screen time while symptomatic.

Stage 2: Gradual Return

Partial days with frequent breaks. No testing or heavy cognitive workload.

Stage 3: Full Rigor

Return to full classroom expectations once cleared by a physician.
